OK, this is not my story but my mom's. Definitely worth ranting about though.
So, she was in Walmart last week and wanting to get out as soon as possible she was looking for the shortest line. To no end she ended up behind a very young hispanic couple with about 3-4 kids.
Mom hadn't really noticed the items in the couples shopping cart until they started arguing about the price of some of the items they were purchasing. Upon closer inspection she noticed grocery items as well as toys. Lots and lots of toys. She said there had to have been at least 2 toys per kid. Once the cashier was done scanning the items the women started arguing about the price of the MILK.
Apparently she hadn't picked up the Milk that was covered by WIC. Which means that the WAD of cash (mom words) that her husband had whipped out would have to cover the cost of the milk instead of the 6-8 toys!
The couple then decided to go and get the correct milk (at the back of the store) to ensure that it would be paid for with the FOOD STAMPS. And of course the line is still continuing to grow.
God forbid they actually pay for the damn milk!!!!
Ok so what do you say???
Mom heard a lady behind her muttering how pissed she was but of course no one said anything to this couple. I'm not sure I would have either but how wrong is this????? My tax dollars are paying for their f'ing groceries while their kids are playing with more toys than Karli!
SHIT, this irritates me beyond belief. And I can't get an educational grant because I make to much money! Man I love this country! F#*K now I'm all hot and bothered!

Welcome to my world!!!! I see this shit on a daily basis. People who MILK the system. I say make everyone who is on well fare submit to random drug testing. Hell I have to do that in order to keep my job(get my money). Make them submit so many job applications a month at least to keep us entertained. If you get convicted of any major crime while receiving well fare...well then bye-bye free check and other free shit. But then I guess that will only hurt the childeren in this country...and my heart does go out to them, they don't have choices like their stupid ass greedy parents
I feel you, sister! That gooey mess on my keyboard is my eyes bleeding from pure rage and frustration. I don't know why it is not as clear as crystal to people who have the power to do something about it. I am with Chad, and I like the job applications, drug testing, and being convicted. Except, I would go one step further and require a depo-provera shot with every month's check, and after 3 kids, tubal ligation....I am hardcore man!
Here's another example of pure laziness and expecting the world to come knock on your door...
In the district where Wyatt teaches, and the one we went to school in, there is a program called Inspired 12, where a bunch of companies and investors got together to develop a foundation that will pay tuition fees and books at any state school for students who have a C average and participate in a UIL event each year. This can pay for trade school, 4-year degree, whatever. But, in order to be considered for their money, you have to fill out the FAFSA form for pell grants and be denied first. Why on earth would the foundation give money to students who could get it from the government at the expense of other students who couldn't? Anyway, at WO-S EIGHTY percent of the student body qualifies for government grants, but do you know how many completed the form? TWO. That's right, TWO. So, now they are mad that they won't just be given the money without filling out the form, even though the foundation has arranged with LU-O to have Saturday sessions with financial aid people to help parents and students fill them out. UGH!
